A different kind of wearable is moving into the spotlight: the tracker you are supposed to forget you are wearing. Instead of adding another bright screen to the day, these devices gather health stats in the background and leave the reviewing for later, usually in a phone app.
The idea is simple. A screen-free wearable keeps the sensors and connectivity of a fitness tracker, but removes the display that invites constant checking. That makes the category feel less like a smartwatch and more like a quiet health monitor.
The new pitch is less attention
Screen-free wearables are arriving as many people have grown tired of technology that keeps asking to be noticed. A return to simpler tracking
