Remember More Daily Conversations With Bee’s New AI Devices

Bee has added two devices to its lineup of personal AI tools: the Bee Frontier, which can be worn on a wrist or pinned to clothing, and the Bee Eclipse, which attaches magnetically to a smartphone. Both are designed to help people keep track of everyday conversations and turn what they discussed into useful notes and follow-up tasks.

Two ways to capture conversations

The Bee Frontier is the next generation of Bee’s wearable device. It costs $74.99 and comes in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage. The Bee Eclipse is a credit-card-sized device that attaches to the back of a smartphone. It costs $99.99 and comes in Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush.

Bee positions the Eclipse in the same general category as devices such as the Plaud Note and Pocket. The source lists the Plaud Note at $159, the Note Pro at $189, and the Pocket AI device at $129.

Either Bee device can capture conversations and use AI to create summaries, recaps, to-dos, and insights. For example, a conversation about plans with friends could become a calendar invite with the agreed date and time. Other suggested uses include recording lecture notes or keeping track of a care plan discussed with a doctor.

What the service includes

Every Bee device includes free conversation summaries and recaps, with 14 days of memory. An optional Bee Pro subscription costs $11.99 per month and adds unlimited conversation summaries and integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, and third-party applications.

Pro also includes suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, and conversation templates. Bee’s integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook can help draft emails, arrange meetings, and surface action items. Users can also upload photos or connect Apple’s HealthKit so wellness information can be incorporated into Bee’s insights.

Amazon and Alexa connections add more ways to use the notes. Users can make purchases from Amazon or ask Alexa hands-free for Bee insights, summaries, and to-dos. Bee can also connect to Alexa’s Voice ID feature, allowing an Echo device to recognize when the user is speaking and record conversations for Bee. That connection is optional.

Privacy controls and device details

Bee says its devices process audio in real time and then delete the raw audio rather than storing it. Conversation transcripts are encrypted with keys created and controlled by the user’s device. According to the company, no one else, including Amazon employees, can access those files unless the user intentionally shares them.

Users can delete transcripts and summaries at any time. The devices each have one button to turn them on or off, plus an indicator light that signals when a conversation is being summarized.

The Frontier adds IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, USB-C charging, and dual microphones with advanced noise filtering. Both devices work with a companion mobile app, which Bee has redesigned, and a new desktop app.

Availability

The Bee Frontier is available now on Amazon. Bee says the Eclipse will be available soon thereafter. Together, the two devices offer different ways to capture conversations: a wearable designed to go on the wrist or clothing, and a compact accessory that attaches to a phone.

The value of either option depends on how often someone wants help remembering conversations and whether the paid features and integrations fit their routine. The free tier covers summaries and recaps, while Bee Pro extends the service with unlimited summaries, productivity connections, and additional AI features.
